Indonesia is the largest archipelago country in the world. It has more than 13.600 islands which many of them directly exposed to powerful sea swells rushing in from fierce southern seas. Scientists discovered some new species that never been exposed before, giant underwater volcano, like prehistoric fish believed to have extinct million years ago. Indonesia is also a unique marine biodiversity hotspot with Bali is the most popular places of interest.
Bali is the island of paradise that strongly bonded with art and culture. It is also a good place for water sports like superb surfing, windsurfing, sailing, scuba diving, and white water rafting. There was a latest discovery in Bali. It was an underwater temple. But, was it really an ancient relic? The first time, it was found, people are certain that it is pre-historic relic discovery. But it is not in the Indiana Jones movie or in Role Play Games usually played in many console.
People questioned about the originality if the underwater temple. Not so long since that temple found, the mystery of alleged underwater temple has been solved. It is not an ancient relic. That temple was built as part of a recent environmental conservation program. According to Paul M. Turley, the owner of Sea Rovers Dive Center in Pemuteran, Bali, that temple site is truly exist and the location named Taman Pura (literally means Temple garden) was created in 2005. That sea garden is extremely beautiful.
That temple is unique, consisting of ten statues and a temple structure, the project was in addition to a number of bio-wreck dive sites and a Reef Gardiners reef conservation project funded by the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAid).
Taman Pura was build as some people concern about marine ecosystems and protecting reefs to survive and recover from damage caused by excessive nutrients, climate change, and physical destruction.
That temple is really an engineering feat with more than ten large stone statues resting on stone plinths and a four-meter-tall temple gateway that had been lowered to a depth of 29 meters. Even that underwater temple is not an ancient relic, still, it is worth to see. That temple is a masterpiece architecture and ornamentation of the main feature of Bali. It is a modern site with ancient touch.
