At the beginning of the 19th century, based on the Spoils system, all bureaucrats depend on politicians elected in the elections. It was amended in Act Pendleton Civil Service Reform in 1883, and now all public servants in the United States designated and recruited based on expertise, although in certain public servants like the head of diplomatic missions and agents completed by the executive who are politically appointed.

Other

Other countries have systems that vary. For example in France, all public servants are career employees as well as in the United Kingdom, although ministers have substantial authority to appoint senior positions based on political sympathy. In Germany, as in the U.S., clearly distinguished between political positions and career positions.

Some public sector workers are not classified as civil servants. In most countries, members of the armed forces for example, are not classified as a public servant. In the United Kingdom, the National Health Service workers and local government officials not include civil servants.

Civil servants in Indonesia

In Indonesia, civil servants comprising:

3. Members of the Indonesian National Police (INP)

Just as in Britain and France, civil servants in Indonesia is a career system. They were selected in a particular selection test, get a salary and special allowances, and obtained a pension.

However, there are certain positions that are not occupied by civil servants, for example:

* President, Governor, Regent, and Mayor - elected directly by the people through elections
o Minister - appointed by the President
* Sub-district and village heads are civil servants, while the mayor is not a civil servant because they were elected directly by local residents.

The Best Tips and Tricks SAT-TPA

>> Tuesday, November 16, 2010

When the time comes to take the SAT, stress levels tend to be at an all time high. This is why it is important to come to the SAT with a good idea about how your day will pan out, a certain level of confidence, and a good head on your shoulders. After months of studying and preparation, the last thing you need is to feel disorganized or flustered upon arriving at your testing location.

Read up on the specific process of taking the SAT. Know exactly where your testing location is, what you need to bring to the site, and how early you need to be there. SAT tests are often scheduled in the early morning, making it even more important to get a good night sleep for at least the two preceding nights. Staying up all night will not have an impact on your score - by the time the test rolls around, you know what you know and it's all a matter of confidence.

Take good care of yourself when you know the SAT is coming. Apart from getting enough sleep, it is important to eat nourishing meals that will give you the necessary stamina and endurance to focus through the nearly four-hour exam. Fill up on a healthy breakfast before taking your test, and bring a nutritious snack to eat during one of the breaks you'll have between sections. Stay hydrated during the test.
When you finally begin to take the test, try to keep as calm and collected as possible. Letting one question make you upset or worried will jeopardize your performance on other questions. For this reason, it is important to know which questions can be skipped. Because you will be penalized for the wrong answer, guessing should only occur if you are able to confidently eliminate at least two of the potential answers.

Psychology School Accreditation for Online Education

>> Friday, November 12, 2010

Psychology school accreditation is one of the most important things to consider if you're going to get your degree online because unfortunately there are some scammers out there who will take your money and send you through an educational program that is useless in the end. Only degrees that come from APA accredited schools will impress employers or transfer to other institutions of higher learning. Accreditation is important regardless of whether you're studying psychology online or at a traditional campus, but if you choose to study online you will need to be more diligent to be sure the program you choose is really worth the time and money.

People choose to get their degrees online rather than attending a traditional campus-based university for many reasons, and it's no different for psychology majors. Some students are physically disabled and unable make it to classes at a traditional university. Other students have day jobs they can't quit while they're in school and can't take every course they need at night time. Online schools allow students to complete their coursework any time of day or night, including weekends, and many of them are more flexible in when you complete each semester.

Online schools are also great for people who already have psychology degrees and are working in the field but want to move into more advanced positions. An accredited online psychology program can allow you to reach your goals while you keep working in your current position.

Any psychology school or program worth considering will be accredited by the APA, or American Psychology Association. According to APA.org, "The APA Office of Program Consultation and Accreditation supports the APA Commission on Accreditation in carrying out its responsibilities as the nationally recognized accrediting body for education and training programs in professional psychology." They are the be-all-end-all when it comes to psychology school accreditation.

If you attend a school that has not been accredited, a potential employer may scoff at your education. And if your undergraduate coursework comes from an unaccredited institution you may not be eligible to pursue a graduate program in psychology at an accredited school in the future.

Online High School Accreditation

Checking its accreditation could be the most important aspect in your decision-making on which online high school to attend. While non-accredited schools should be taken out of your list, not all accreditations are acceptable. The accreditation should include oversight and not just a license to do business.

What is accreditation? If the school meets the minimum criteria, it is given the accreditation. The accreditation is actually a safety mechanism to protect students, schools and employers.

Why is a proper accreditation important? This assures you of an online academy's quality and ensures that other schools and employers will recognize your diploma or the courses you have taken. Attending a fake school or a school that is not properly accredited may cost you jobs or opportunities to further your education.
How will you know if an online high school is properly accredited? There are some schools out there that go as far as making up their own fake accreditation. A fake accreditor may have misleading names that imply that it is a national or regional accreditor when it is not. It could also be that its website has too little information and does not include names or contact information aside from a phone number and email address.

You can go to the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) website to verify the accrediting agency used by the school is legitimate. The CHEA database includes a list of US accrediting organizations that are recognized either by the CHEA or by the US Department of Education or both. This includes any of the six regional accreditors, Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation and the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC).

You should also consider the difference between a national (DETC) and regional accreditation. While employers accept both types, many regionally accredited schools do not accept transfer credits from DETC accredited schools. This is not a problem if you are studying for personal enjoyment, but if you are planning to further your education at a later date, you will be better off attending an online academy with regional accreditation.

Unaccredited programs and schools are a waste of your time and money. Moreover, diplomas or certificates from these sources are worthless if it costs you job or educational opportunities in the future. Whether you are attending an online high school or a brick-and-mortar institution, the proper accreditation ensures that you will be getting quality education.

Indian Universities For Distance PhD

The best way to gauge the validity of a degree or a diploma is by checking the national accreditation of the school you get it from. There are governing bodies (usually established by the national government itself) that accredit institutions on their capability to educate students. In India, in particular, operating Universities are required to have accreditation from an official governing body in order to be valid. That simply means that all institutions should be accredited by either the National Board of Accreditation, or NBA, or the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The only exceptions to this rule are Universities established by India's Act of Parliament.
Online PhD programs are one of the most popular ways of learning today. Lately, Indian institutions have tried offering distance PhD programs. But before you go with any program or institution, make sure first that the schools and course is accredited by an Indian governing body. The best way check if an institution or an online PhD program is valid is checking its NAAC accreditation. All distance PhDs in India are accredited by the NAAC. Moreover, with an NAAC accreditation, you can be assured of the quality of education fed to you.
Make sure to always check a school and a course's accreditation before applying or enrolling. This way, you will neither waste your time nor money.

Computer School Accreditation

Computer school accreditation is extremely important for anyone interested in applying for a computer science program. Getting an education from an accredited institution is vital to the success of technology students just as it is for students in virtually any other field. Whether you're applying to a local program or colleges across the country, the school and its programs should be accredited by reputable governing bodies.
A computer school or a specific computer program within a larger college must voluntarily undergo a review of its programs and teaching methods in order to be accredited. This can give you confidence that your education will be of a high quality, and future employers will respect your degree. It's also good to know that the coursework you do at this school will transfer to another school if you move or if you decide to get a higher degree at some later date. And institutions of higher learning, from computer schools to state colleges to private fine art academies, must be accredited for their students to receive federal financial aid from the government.

The process of computer school accreditation forces schools that want to be well regarded to invest in the best teachers, technologies and tools. There are several programmatic accrediting bodies that do this important work.

The Council for Higher Education Accreditation recognizes several programmatic accrediting bodies for computer and information science education, the largest of which is the Computing Accreditation Commission, a division of the Accrediting Board of Engineering Technologies. Other regional accrediting organizations include the Middle State Association of Colleges and Schools, New England Association of Schools and Colleges, North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Higher Learning Commission, Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and Western Association of Schools and Colleges. If a computer school has been accredited by one of these organizations, it should be a good choice

World Examination

>> Wednesday, November 10, 2010

In its widest sense, to examine somebody or something is look at it very carefully, perhaps to find out why something is not working properly. A machine that is not working properly may need an examination to find out the cause of the problem.

In education an examination (or exam for short) is a test to show the ability of a student. A student who takes an examination is a candidate. The person who decides how well the student has performed is the examiner. An examination may be a written test, an on-screen test or a practical test. Examples of a practical test may be: driving a car, speaking a language, playing a musical instrument and doing a scientific experiment. An on-screen test is a test which uses the computer.
If the candidate is successful he will have passed the examination. If he is unsuccessful he will have failed. In some cases it is possible for a student who has failed to take the exam again another time.

A student who passes an examination may get a certificate or diploma. Some certificates are professional qualifications, allowing the person to do a particular job, e.g. plumber, teacher, doctor, lawyer.
